The Supreme Court’s ruling on tariffs is deeply disappointing, and I’m ashamed of certain members of the court, absolutely ashamed, for not having the courage to do what’s right for our country.
— Donald Trump, in comments given during a press conference he called to speak about the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision striking down the president’s sweeping tariffs instituted via executive order under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. Trump went on to praise Justices Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh for their dissents, while referring to the liberal justices as a “disgrace to our nation.”
